This policy explains what information Academic Assist Pro collects when you use this website — in particular, when you submit the Free Academic Assessment form — and how that information is used. It reflects what this website actually does today. As the site and our internal systems develop further, this page will be updated to match.
Information We Collect
When you submit the Free Academic Assessment form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your WhatsApp number
- Your academic level (e.g. Undergraduate, Master's, PhD)
- What you tell us you're working on (e.g. coursework, a project, thesis, research)
- The description you provide of where you're stuck and what support you're looking for
- An optional supporting document, if you choose to upload one
If you arrive at this website through a specific link — for example, from a service page, a shared link, or an advertising campaign — the page may carry tracking information in its web address (such as which page referred you, or standard campaign parameters). If you go on to submit the assessment form, we record which of these were present alongside your submission, so we understand which parts of the site led to your enquiry. We do not use this information to identify you before you choose to contact us.
Optional Document Uploads
The document upload field on the assessment form is optional. Any file you choose to upload is checked for file type and size before it is accepted, and is used solely to help us understand your request. Uploaded documents are kept in a private storage system that is not publicly accessible — files are not shared outside our team, and access is limited to reviewing your request. As with any information you share with us, please avoid including highly sensitive personal information in a document beyond what is genuinely necessary for us to assist you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you submit to:
- Review and respond to your Free Academic Assessment request
- Contact you by email and/or WhatsApp about your enquiry
- Keep an internal record of enquiries and our communication with you, so we can provide consistent support
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to complete or submit academic work on your behalf — Academic Assist Pro provides guidance and mentoring, not completed coursework.
WhatsApp Communication
Several buttons on this site open a WhatsApp chat with our team via a wa.me link. If you choose to use WhatsApp to contact us, that conversation takes place on WhatsApp's own platform and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy practices, which we don't control. We use WhatsApp only as a communication channel you have chosen to use, to respond to your enquiry.
Attribution Information
As described above, we record basic attribution details (such as which page or link led to your enquiry) alongside form submissions, for our own understanding of which parts of the site are useful to students. This is separate from the analytics tool described below — attribution details are only ever stored alongside an enquiry you have chosen to submit, never collected on their own.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand in aggregate how visitors use this website — for example, which pages are viewed and whether visitors start a free assessment or open a WhatsApp conversation. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect or store information that identifies individual visitors. We do not send Plausible your name, email address, WhatsApp number, academic details, the contents of any document you upload, or anything you write in the assessment form — only the type of action taken (for example, that an assessment was started) and, where relevant, a general category already defined elsewhere on this site (such as which service area a page relates to).
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. The analytics tool described above does not use cookies either.
Data Retention
We retain the information you submit for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and to keep appropriate records of our communications with you. If you would like your information removed sooner, contact us and we will action your request.
Your Rights
You can contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to request that we correct it, or to request that we delete it. We will respond to reasonable requests as promptly as we can.
Changes to This Policy
As this website and the systems behind it continue to develop — for example, if we introduce a customer relationship management system, or change how analytics is used — we will update this page to accurately describe what is actually implemented at that time.
